Wimbledon is the world’s oldest tennis tournament. Known as the Championships, Wimbledon it has been held each year since 1877. It is regarded as the most prestigious of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and is held each year in July. The other Grand slam tournaments are: Australian Open (January), the French Open (May) and the US Open (August).
