The Legion of Mary (Legio Mariae) is an international lay apostolic association of Roman Catholics who serve the Church on a voluntary basis. The association has over 10 million members in around 170 countries worldwide. The Legion of Mary was founded in Dublin by Frank Duff in 1921.

Membership of the Legion of Mary is open to all baptised Roman Catholics. The legion is usually based in a parish and each unit is known as a praesidium. The praesidium meets on a weekly basis. The meetings consist of prayers readings and reflections. Members also give a report on the spiritual works of mercy in which they may be engaged.

The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff at a meeting in Dublin in the year 1921 On This Day.
